Flowers of apology
Which flower to give to apologise: sincerity, humility and the wish to make amends.
Apologising is hard, and a flower does not replace the right words. But well chosen, it opens the door: it shows you thought of the other person, without demanding anything.
Choosing with care
A soft, sober flower is better than a large bouquet that might seem to try to buy everything back. The white rose, a symbol of sincerity and a fresh start, suits well. Light and pastel shades say humility.
An apology that counts
A sincere apology names what happened, acknowledges the hurt caused and makes no excuse. Avoid "if I hurt you": say "I am sorry I hurt you".
Giving time
The flower arrives with the message, and the other person replies when they wish. You can record a few words in your own voice: the tone sometimes says what writing cannot.
